Thank you for the generous wedding gift! And for all the time and effort you put in making us feel special during the entire run-up to our wedding (all two years of it), and doing it while pregnant with baby Wesley. Tina, you were the best woman-of-honor anyone could ever ask for, staying up waaaay past your bedtime in NOLA, checking in with us often on the day of the wedding, and being a steady source of calm every step of the way. We’re so lucky to have you both in our lives, and we look forward for all the HHH to come, now with a new generation in tow.

Where would I be in this life without you? In our 18 (!!) years of friendship, you have always been the one to dispense good advice: on better study habits, fewer chips before bedtime (a losing battle), rational thinking when my emotions overcome me, the occasional pharmaceutical question. I have known since undergrad that I wanted you as my woman-of-honor on my wedding day. It was never a question!

I remember this late-night conversation we had freshman year, outside of your Warren apartment. We sat on a picnic bench as it grew dark, and we talked about everything (because that’s how our conversations usually went). I felt expansive — like the whole world was simultaneously vast and intimate, and it’s all because I had you as a friend. I feel so lucky to have not only found my life partner in Brian, but that when it did happen, I had already found my life sisters — you, Jen, and Gloria — to share the whole thing with.

Thank you again for celebrating with us on this very special day. It wouldn’t have been the same without you.
